MRT Project Has Reached 71.39 Percent

The progress of the construction of Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) Phase I (Lebak Bulus-HI Roundabout) until the end of April 2017, has reached 71.38 percent.

Trial run will be started in December 2018 until the end of February 2019

 

PT MRT Jakarta Corporate Secretary Division Head, Tubagus Hikmatullah disclosed MRT project is targeted to be finished in mid-2018.

"Trial run will be started in December 2018 until the end of February 2019. For commercial operational, will be March 1, 2019," he stated, Thursday (5/18).

 

He added PT MRT Jakarta would buy 96 Japanese trains, which will be divided into 16 trains.

 

"14 trains will be operated and two as backup. The phase 1 MRT will be completed with seven elevated stations and 6 underground stations," he explained. 

 

After accompanying the group from one of the media to review the project in CP 105, Setiabudi Station South Jakarta, Section Head of Public Communication Resources and Information Access for Jakarta Communication, Informatic and Statistic Dept., Ika Meilani Untari revealed, MRT project is very necessary to be known by the public.

 

"Our dept. also has a partnership assignment with media colleagues. We want development growth in Jakarta can be exposed to the wider people," she closed.
